This is a question I get asked all of the time from wellness coaching clients It's a topic that is widely discussed because lets face it: we've all been there! We've been working hard on our fitness and health goals and then BOOM - you get stuck with a cold, flu, or nasty allergies. You want to maintain your fitness and the positive gains you've made from all of your hard work. But will working out when sick help you continue to see results or hurt you in your health goals? In this video I answer your question based on my personal experiences of exercising while not feeling 100%. I have noticed some pros and cons based on the sickness itself. As you guys know, I am not a doctor and cant give you medical advice. ALWAYS check with your doctor before making changes to your health. I always follow this general rule: If it's an above the neck sickness (like the sniffles or allergies) you should be OK to workout - in fact movement might make you feel better. If it's a below the neck sickness: body aches, chills, fever, upset stomach, etc you need to rest. read more on how to listen to your body: http://www.carolinejordanfitness.com/listen-body/ I encourage you to watch the video and leave a comment in the comment section with your own experiences. If you are sick right now, I hope you feel better soon!
